What Is Stained Concrete?
Transform plain concrete into a rich, decorative finish with professional stained concrete systems from EpoxyPros Flooring. Our stained concrete floors offer a unique, natural appearance with earthy tones, movement, and character that make every floor one of a kind. Perfect for homes, patios, restaurants, retail spaces, warehouses, and commercial buildings. Your perfect space starts with a premium epoxy floor.
Stained concrete is a decorative concrete system that penetrates into the surface of the concrete to create long-lasting color and natural variation. Unlike paint or coatings that sit on top, stain reacts with the concrete itself, creating a durable and unique finish. Every slab reacts differently, meaning no two stained concrete floors will ever look exactly the same.

Before & After
Our Stained Concrete Process
Our Step-by-Step Installation Process
Surface Preparation

We begin by carefully evaluating and preparing your existing concrete surface. This allows us to identify contaminants, damage, or other conditions that could interfere with the staining process and helps create the right foundation for an even, long-lasting finish.
Deep Cleaning & Grinding

Next, we thoroughly clean and, when necessary, grind the concrete to remove dirt, coatings, residue, and surface contaminants. This opens the pores of the concrete so the stain can penetrate or react properly with the surface.
Crack Repair

Before applying the stain, we repair cracks and other surface imperfections when needed. This helps create a more stable and consistent surface while preserving the natural character that makes stained concrete unique.
Stain Application

Once the concrete is properly prepared, we apply the selected stain system using water-based stains, acid stains, or acetone dyes depending on the desired appearance. The color is carefully applied to create rich tones, natural variation, and a distinctive finish unique to your floor.
Neutralizing & Cleaning

When an acid-based stain is used, we carefully neutralize the surface after the color has developed. We then clean away any remaining residue so the chemical reaction is fully stopped and the concrete is properly prepared for sealing.
Sealer Application

Next, we apply a high-quality protective sealer to lock in the color and enhance the finished appearance. The sealer also helps protect the concrete against moisture, stains, wear, and everyday use.
Slip-Resistant Additive

For areas where additional traction is needed, especially patios, pool surrounds, garages, and other potentially wet surfaces, we can incorporate a slip-resistant additive into the protective finish. This improves grip while preserving the appearance of the stained concrete.
Enjoy Your Stained Concrete

Once the protective sealer has cured, your stained concrete surface is ready to enjoy. The finished floor combines natural variation, rich color, and long-lasting protection to create a distinctive surface that is durable, easy to maintain, and unique to your space.
